Human Context

I’m writing this from the Human Context app. It’s 17:01, 5:01pm if I want to sound more cosmopolitan.

The office room has a large window front and outside are two trees. I remember a tweet where someone said that if you have a tree outside of the window, you need to romanticize the tree as much as possible. It’s a good feeling with the two buddies outside and a light atmosphere. It calms me seeing the leaves moving in the wind.

I made the HC app to have a calm place to write my own context. The pace of agents is overwhelming. I wanted to have something that is in my control. Something I can craft that I then can give to the agents as reference.

It’s interesting how your philosophy on developing software changes. I read in Getting Real:

So what to do then? The answer is less. Do less than your competitors to beat them. Solve the simple problems and leave the hairy, difficult, nasty problems to everyone else. Instead of one-upping, try one-downing. Instead of outdoing, try underdoing.

I write these articles in .md files in the HC app and then push the new entries in /content/blog to GitHub. I thought that it would be convenient to have a button on the app that lets me directly commit and push an .md file to GitHub. It was an easy decision to drop that feature when thinking about the word underdoing.
